A fine and large globular Royal Doulton Kingsware whisky (whiskey) flask decorated with a fisherman to one side, the other with a Herring Drifter boat, designed by Charles Noke, complete with silver capped cork stopper, often missing.
Approx. 7.5″/18.8cm tall with stopper.
The flask is in excellent condition with no damage and no glaze crazing. There is the odd minor mark from manufacture and I’ve found a small scratch. The cork to the stopper has degraded but it could easily be replaced. The silver cap has black discolouration which should polish off with effort. (I rather like it the way it is!). There would have been a small chain linking it to the flask handle, now absent.
The flask bears the Royal Doulton backstamp and the stopper bears a continental 800 silver mark, I believe Italian. The body of the flask is marked “NOKE”.
